No, we just need the winre.wim!!!!
If you have it on USB and it is not older than 2 years, it should be OK
so when i run my iso i have never seen that file. all i get is files installing and =lots of steps and then win10 pops up with lets get started. so maybe it will be just easier to do a backup and run my iso and just do a complete win10 install. or might letting win 11 run fix this issue. as my pc tells me i can do win 11 now.

If you run the setup from your system, select the attached USB setup it will run an Inplacement and fix it as well! You can also use a WIN11 USB-disk. Takes appr. 30 minutes
Do not boot from the USB!

Why can't i install KB5034441 is a remarkable question when you argue:

    obviously meaning the WinRE.wim.

Extrakting that file from the ISO would have been easier!

Simple Rule: No WinRE.wim, no KB 5034441 Installation!

Did the Recovery_Partition survive that operation?

Note: if you read the News section article about that update you will likely realise you don't even need it.

So, you could just hide it (tutorial available or use e.g. WUmgr (free) - more convenient) and move on.

That you didn't have a Recovery partition suggests that at some point you chose to delete it. Good luck.

i have 1020mb in a partition named recovery. i was under the impression all i needed was 250mb. i just ran the setup on my win10 iso stick and that may have resized the c drive now to allow for that 1020mb size. but now i have to get more updates and i do not yet see KB503441 in the update list. and so far no more updates are being downloaded. i did have 22h2 before i ran the iso setup so that may have set me back one major update and when i get that update i will have the KB5034441 included.

i have another pc without that same file and i just put a new win10 iso media creation tool on a new stick and i'm running that to see if i get 22h2 to start and if i get the KB5034441 file in the updates. thanks

i was under the impression all i needed was 250mb.
MS says it needs 250MB free space in the Recovery partition. Bree has run some tests and I think he found a little less would suffice.

There are various conditions to be met.

But as I suggested- you probably don't need this update at all.... look at what it's for:
    KB5034441 Security Update for Windows 10 (21H2 and 22H2) - Jan. 9
to bypass BitLocker encryption by using WinRE.

    Do you use Bitlocker?
If not, it's irrelevant to you.

You can hide it without compromising later updates.

well i'm installing win11 now maybe this will work itself out. i had win11 but i got some conflicts with my hearing aid fitting program and the security on the pc so i reinstalled win10 and was waiting for win11 to fix that issue but now i will try win11 again and see if that fixes this issue. thanks
