    Hi,
I have the same monitor with the same problem.
I actually have two of them , and the the other doesn't do this. So it's a problem with the monitor and nothing to do with any computer setting.

There is nothing in the OSD menu that seems to affect this behaviour, unless there's an "admin" mode or something.
yes, thanks for confirming my suspicion that it is indeed a problem with the monitor and nothing to do with my computer spec or GPU, faulty cable or anything else.

This problem has been driving me nuts ..
cos in all my years of being using a PC monitors I have never seen any monitor (not even the older 17 to 19" monitors)
that would do this behavior of completely powering off in standby mode..

Yeah there is no admin mode (that I know off), there maybe a secret service mode that only Philips can access though I doubt they had intentionally left that setting on for some monitors and not for others when they sold all these monitors.

    What is your PC spec?

and to test this, you plug in the both monitors to the same PC?

Have you also tested with the same PC but with different types of cables (HDMI, Display port and VGA)
And notice the same behaviour with the faulty monitor (regardless of which cable was used?

BTW did you find this post / thread, cos you were searching for a solution for the faulty monitor?
OR you just happened to find this post while browsing this forum?

In regards to your two monitors, to identify possible reason for why one monitor has this fault and the other did not..

I am referring to the faulty one, did you do anything differently or noticed any electrical spark/arcing sound (where the power plugs into the monitor power port) when you initially setup your monitor ...

The reason I asked this is because when I was moving the monitor position and distance of the monitor from my eyes on the desk..
the monitor was powered on and as I was moving the monitor closer or further from my eyes I heard that electrical arcing noise where the monitor power port is (due to the cable power plug possibly losing contact with the 3 power pin in the monitor's power port.

One of my theory of why I am seeing this problem with the monitor is that the electrical arcing possibly damage some component in the power board of the monitor that causes it to power off whenever it goes into standby mode..

The monitor has no issue remaining powered on, only when in standby mode, it then powers off for whatever reason..
It does not immediately powers off in standby, only after some X minutes of being in standby mode.
Also during that time of being in standby mode, I noticed the monitor would power on and show that blue phillips logo background then goes back to standby mode (white LED blinking) then it might do that power on again (maybe 1 or 2 more times)
then it would go in standby mode (LED blinking) then LED would stop blinking and the monitor is now completely powered off.

So the monitor has no issue with going into standby mode..
It just somehow while in standby mode loses the signal from video cable (that tells it to remain in standby mode)
it thinks there is no video signal or video cable connected, so as a result it decides power off completely to save energy.

I think this power off completely behaviour does exists in some monitors when it does not detect any video signal so it powers off after some time period has passed to save energy.
I will need to do some more testing with other monitors to see if this is indeed true.

I have a 24" monitor connected through a KVM switch to Win7, Win10, Win11, and Linux Desktops and when they sleep or are turned off the monitor loses the data signal and goes into its own sleep, just leaves the amber light on its power button.

My Windows 10 system has a Philips monitor, that is my most modern one. I've got other two from different brands and ages attached to different computers and OSs. All three behave well in everything.

I know the Philips one starts with an own blue screen with the white Philips logo in the middle. It always does this regardless of how is the computer. Then it goes black just a second. If there's video signal it displays it just afterwards, otherwise it displays an own message saying there's no signal, then another one saying "Entering power saving mode" or similar phrase. If the signal hasn't come yet it goes power saving with the screen black and the white led blinking. I suppose it shows these same two messages when going power saving from having had video signal before (this happens with the computer unattended). It returns fast to showing the video signal upon moving the mouse. The other two monitors behave similar with slight variations, although the Philips is the only one that shows two own messages before going power saving. Neither of the three turn off on their own.

If you have VESA DPM compliance display card or software installed in your PC, the display can automatically reduce its power consumption when not in use. If an input from a keyboard, mouse or other input device is detected, the display will 'wake up' automatically. The following table shows the power consumption and signaling of this automatic power saving feature:

    Code:
VESA Mode	Video	H-sync	V-sync	Power used	LED color
Active ON	Yes	Yes	55-110W White
Sleep (Standby)	OFF	No	No	<0.5W White (blink)
    Switch Off	OFF	-	-	<0.3W OFF

The bold is mine. The text isn't very clear but the bold part says the normal behaviour is going to "Sleep (Standby)". You have to press the power button and that isn't normal.

Tried it on an older HP Envy with a GTX745 with the same result.

    Just tried Displayport so far

I did a Google search and this came up.

I've been playing around with the Phillips Smart Control software. Have you tries that?
