Last One To Post Wins [52]
Good morning again all . . . I think I see some new faces, but since I didn't keep track, I dunno . . .
I lost my cell phone sometime over the past several days, and the land line company disconnected my phone <again>, so, we had to get a new one cell phone . . . never mind the land line; that's history . . .
We were almost on the way out the door to get a new cell when Gracie went crazy barking in the front yard. I didn't pay attention, because she thinks the yard, street and yards next door all belong to her, but then I heard a knock on the front door.
Opened to a couple of big, burly Deputy Sheriffs! Mouth falls open and they say, "Don't worry, this is just a wellness check." Huh?
Well, they told me my daughter's in the hospital, don't know which one, but my son, Robert (son-in-law) and daughter have been trying to call me for two days! From the fact that Robert's been trying to call, I know it's Teresa. And it was Cyndi who called them because she wanted me to know about Teresa. Good daughter!
Now, these deputies go all the way in helpfulness . . . one takes out his cell phone, dials Cyndi, then hands the phone to me; I talk to her and tell her what happened with the phones; she gives me the hospital phone number, then Robert's and her own phone numbers. I'm to call as soon as I get a new phone.
Late that afternoon I finally got to talk to Teresa and she's doing OK, but they don't know what's wrong with her after four days! She sounds as if nothing's wrong, but she'd had a bone spur removed from the roof of her mouth! Whattttt???? And had started literally spilling her guts from that point on.
Hopefully there'll be new information when I try to call her today. If I can get through the hospital phone system's busy signals!
When you need 'em, the "men in blue" are there for you!
